Core Team Profile

Bill Grant (MCIBS, AIED) - former senior manager within the banking industry and founding director of one of Scotland’s first and most successful Internet ventures.

During his time within the finance industry Bill was responsible for establishing and managing a number of significant company Change Management Initiatives the benefit of which experience has been brought to bear in many Public and Private Sector projects that he has consulted on since. Over the years he has also been intrinsically involved in the financing of businesses having managed a National SME equity fund, and established many innovative systems for investing in and lending to the SME sector. More recently as an approved Dti & Scottish Enterprise e-commerce advisor he has assisted many SME’s harness e-commerce to business advantage.

Bill currently holds a number of respected private and public sector board appointments including; President of the West Lothian Chamber of Commerce, Council member of the Scottish Chamber of Commerce and the fourth largest Chamber of Commerce in the UK.

Gordon Grierson (CA) - A Chartered Accountant Gordon's previous appointments include; a senior consultant with Price Waterhouse, Group financial director of a high growth Irish based software group and a Senior Consultant with a major American software business.

Currently, Gordon holds several company directorships in the software and consultancy industry thus offering BGA clients the benefits of his extensive experience in developing business models, and financial systems to support high growth companies.

Max Philipson (PG Dip, MSc) – A Developer with a masters in Information Technology and over three years experience with a global consulting and software company.

Max has considerable experience in developing large database driven eCommerce, Learning and Content Management applications for the web utilising .NET, C#, and XML.
